Daycare Requirements
In order for your fur baby to join all the daycare fun, they must meet the following requirements:
Prior to your first visit to Lazy Dog Daycare, please fill out the Pet Profile Application.
- Any dog over 6 months must be neutered/spayed
- All dogs must be on a flea/tick preventative
- All dogs must be up-to-date with Rabies, Bordetella, Influenza (H3N2 & H3N8) and Distemper
- All dogs must be in good health
- All dogs must have a current town license on file and be renewed yearly
- All dogs are required to be dog and people-friendly. Our staff must be able to touch and handle them. For the safety of other dogs and staff, we cannot accept aggressive behavior dogs.
All first-time customers (or customers who have not attended daycare at our facility in a while), please schedule a reservation for their first day. Monday – Friday drop-off time from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. We do this to ensure your dog can be introduced one by one to the pack. A nice, gradual introduction to the group is important. This helps to ensure the dog is not overwhelmed and has a good first experience.
Please be sure you bring proof of all the required vaccines or we will not be able to allow your dog to participate in the daycare program without them.
Grooming Policies
All pets must be up to date on their rabies vaccination. All cancellations or reschedules must be made 48 hours (2 days) prior to the day of the appointment. This gives us time to refill the groomer's time slot. All grooming clients must arrive on time for appointments.
- 10 minutes late: $5.00 fee
- 15 or more minutes late: reschedule
Cancellations or reschedules within 24 hours will result in a $20.00 fee (to be paid at the time of cancellation), provided to the groomer whose appointment was cancelled after the given time frame of 48 hours prior. If the appointment is rescheduled for the same week, this does not apply. No-shows to appointments will be required to pay 50% of the groom charge to rebook an appointment (also provided to the groomer).
Any and all pets left 1 or more hours after the service is completed will be required to pay an additional fee of $23.00 per pet (half-day daycare price). This is due to our daycare staff tending to your pet after the groomer has finished. This fee does not imply they will be in the daycare yard with our dogs. That will require additional information and documentation that can be found in our daycare policies.
